Alberta L. Cox

Alberta L. Cox, 85, of Nappanee, In and formerly of Warsaw, In, died on 3/30/2010 at 6:45 pm at Miller's Merry Manor - Syracuse, Indiana. She was born on June 11, 1924 in Kosciusko County, Indiana. Alberta was born to Emry and Violet (Barth) Murphy. She was a lifetime resident of Kosciusko County, Indiana. On December 7, 1946 she was wed to Robert L. Cox, who preceded her on April 8, 1989.Alberta was homemaker and a member of the Mount Tabor Church of God of Etna Green, Indiana, the Atwood, Indiana Fire Department Auxiliary and the Ruth Circle. Alberta leaves two sons Randal “Randy” Cox of Syracuse, Indiana, Robert Cox of Wichita, Kansas and her daughter Mrs. James (Pam) Roberts of Pierceton, Indiana.Also surviving are a sister Lenora Stump of Warsaw, Indiana, seven grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Along with her husband, she was preceded by a son Blaine Allen Cox, a sister Maxine Nice and a grandchild. Pastor Stan Owen of the Mount Tabor Church of God will officiate the services. Services will be held at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel - Warsaw, Indiana on Saturday, April 3, 2010 at 10:00 am. Calling hours will be 4-8 pm on Friday, April 2, 2010. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery - Warsaw, Indiana. McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel - Warsaw, Indiana is in charge of arrangements.
