Alberta “Joan” Frantz

Alberta “Joan” Frantz, 80, of Winona Lake, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, February 17, 2022 at Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw. Born on June 26, 1941, in New Paris, Ohio, Joan was the daughter of Roscoe and Evelyn (Vandeveer) Boarders. She was united in marriage to Roger Frantz Sr. on May 16, 1964, in Warsaw, Indiana. She was a lifetime resident of Kosciusko County. Joan was formerly employed with Owens Supermarket in the Deli department.  She was a member of the Moose Auxiliary, Warsaw. Joan will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 57 years, Roger Frantz Sr. of Winona Lake; children, Rick Frantz, Robert Frantz, both of Warsaw, Mindy Frantz, Steven Frantz both of Winona Lake, Kim (Steve) Hettler of Warsaw, Roger (Brenda) Frantz Jr. of Laurel, DE, and Tamy (Scott) Grant of Etna Green. In addition, she is survived by stepbrothers, Rex Dickey, Clarence (Gail) Dickey both of Warsaw; half-brother Randy (Barb) Dickey of Burket; 11 grandchildren, several great and great-great grandchildren. A visitation is planned from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Monday February 21, 2022 at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. A funeral service in celebration of her life will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday February 22, 2022 in the funeral chapel. Chaplain Bob Jarboe will be officiating. Interment will follow at Palestine Cemetery, Mentone. Masks are optional, and social distancing is encouraged. No food is permitted at this time.
