Adgie Hall, age 86, of Peru, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at 8:08 PM in Dukes Memorial Hospital, Peru. Adgie was born January 1, 1935 in Magoffin, Kentucky to John “Long” and Aulda (Wireman) Shepherd. She was united in marriage to Billie Hall in Silver Lake, Indiana. Adgie was born and raised in Kentucky moving to Ohio in 1959 and in 1965 she moved to Kosciusko County, Indiana. She worked for Korth Furniture Warsaw and was a caregiver in Peru, Indiana. She loved to quilt, crochet, cook and enjoyed working on crafts. She was a member of First Free Will of Silver Lake. Adgie is survived by daughter, Angela (Marvin) Uitts of Peru, IN; son, John Dale Hughes of Warsaw; five grandchildren, Travis, Robin, Tavis, Brandi, Keith and eight great grandchildren; siblings, Mentha Prater of David, KY, Edgar Shepherd of Martin, KY, Owen Shepherd of David, KY, Roger Lee Shepherd of David, KY, Elma Kay Caudill of Paintsville, KY and Ruby Jean Bradley of Silver Lake, IN. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Mary Margaret Flannery, siblings, Earlene Mundy, Olen Shepherd, Quillen Shepherd, Jerlene Prater, and Elzie Joe Shepherd. A visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 Noon on Thursday, January 28, 2021 at the funeral chapel. Pastors Lorren Bradley & Reverend Robert Brown will be officiating. Interment will follow at Graceland Cemetery, Claypool. Due to current COVID-19 recommendations, masks are required. The public is kindly requested to provide their own. Social distancing is strongly encouraged. No food is permitted at this time.
