Ada Prater, age 71, of Silver Lake passed away on April 14, 2012 at 4:05 AM in Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home, Fort Wayne. She was born April 28, 1940 in Prestonsburg, KY to Jimmie and Lola (Miller) Owens. She was a lifetime residence of Silver Lake. She married Curtis Prater on September 1, 1956. She was a Homemaker. She was a member of Full Gospel Tabernacle Church in Claypool. Ada is survived by her 4 daughters Alicia Crum of Prestonsburg, KY, Debbie Shepherd, Violet (and spouse John) Malott both of Silver Lake and Jodi Stouder of Syracuse, IN. 2 sons Randy Prater and J.T. (and spouse Jodi) Prater both of Silver Lake. 1 step – son Doug Plew of Oswego, IN. 2 Sisters Elleree (and spouse Butler) Johnson and Jearleane Hyden both of Warsaw.17 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildrenShe was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 3 daughters and 2 brothersService will be held on Thursday April 19, 2012 at1:00 PM at Gospel Hill Pentecostal Church of God, Silver Lake, IN.Calling hours will be on Wednesday April 18, 2012 from 3:00 to 8:00 PM at Mchatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. Pastor Frank Whitaker will officiate the services.Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery North Manchester, IN.
