Willodean 'Sadie' Summy

Willodean “Sadie” Summy, of Warsaw, Indiana, passed away at 6:40 am Thursday December 22, 2011 in her residence. On September 23, 1932, Willodean was born to Elmer Glen and Harriet Marie (Carey) Woods in Savastopol, Indiana. She lived most of her life in Burket and Warsaw and was a homemaker. Willodean married Paul Norman Summy on February 11, 1955 in Burket. He preceded her in death on April 19, 2009. She is survived by 2 daughters, Karen (and spouse Gregg) Foster, Mentone and Peggy (and spouse Glen) Tharp, Warsaw; 5 grandchildren, Kiley Foster, Aaron (and spouse Katie) Foster, Joshua Foster, Sarah Tharp and Lamar Tharp; 4 great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Maxine Goon, Leesburg and Gloria Wade, Warsaw; 1 brother, Don Woods, Warsaw. Willodean was also preceded in death by 2 brothers, Richard “Dick” Woods and Lloyd Woods. Funeral services will be at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw at 11:00 am on Wednesday, December 28, 2011. with Rod Mayer officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw. Visitation hours will be from 4:00 - 8:00 pm, Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at the funeral chapel. The family requests memorial contributions be made to Kosciusko County Cancer Care Fund, 2170 North Pointe Drive, Warsaw, Indiana 46582.
