UPDATE: William T. “Bill” Deerwester, 77 of Warsaw passed away Sunday, April 27, 2014 at 2:00 a.m. in Warsaw. He was born on March 23, 1937 to Clarence and Florence (Tusing) Deerwester in Warsaw. He was a lifetime residence of Kosciusko County. He was united in marriage to Katherine Rule on April 6, 1958 in Warsaw. He was a US Army Veteran serving from November 1955 to October 1957. Bill retired from Zimmer, Inc. as a Lab Technician He was a member of the Order of the Arrow, Boy Scouts of America, Boy Scouts of Canada and the Warsaw American Legion Post 49. Bill is survived by his wife, Katherine Deerwester of Warsaw; sons David (and spouse Renata) Deerwester of Columbia City and Dan (Janette Turney) Deerwester of Warsaw; Grandchildren, Denise Northern of Warsaw, Phil (and spouse Lydia) Deerwester of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Stephanie Deerwester of Watertown, Massachusetts, Andrea (and spouse Alex) Baldwin of Ossian, Indiana, Brandon Deerwester of Warsaw, Paul Turney and Cory Turney both of Lakemoor, Illinois; great grandchildren Parker Northern and Dalton Baldwin. He was preceded in death by his parents. ***A Memorial Service will be held at First Christian Church, Warsaw on Saturday, July 12, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. with Military Honors by the American Legion Post 49, VFW Post 1126 both of Warsaw and the Military Funeral Honor Guard.*** No calling is planned.
