William Bill Kevin Newland, age 73, of Warsaw, Indiana passed away Friday January 20, 2012at 10:56 AM in Kosciusko Community Hospital Warsaw, IN. He was born October 19, 1938 in Plainwell, MI to William and Francis (Earl) Newland. Bill was united in marriage to Nanette Pratt in Warsaw, IN on June 19, 1976. He was a graduate of Delton High School Delton, MI and attended Western Michigan University and Grace College. He faithfully served his country in the United States Navy from 1956 to 1959 and was honorably discharged as a PN2. He retired from Cargill, INC. and was a former owner and partner of Ace Hardware Store Mentone, IN. He was a member of St. Annes Episcopal Church of Warsaw where he served as Treasurer, Senior Warden, Junior Warden, Vestry and was active in the Mens Service Club.In addition, He was a 25-year Mason and belonged to the Pierceton Masonic Lodge #377, Mizpah Shrine of Fort Wayne, IN and was a member and Past President of the Kosciusko County Shrine Club.Bill enjoyed gardening and loved playing golf. He is survived by his wife Nanette Newland of Warsaw, IN; children Anthony (spouse Cathy) Miner of VanBuren, IN, Keith (spouse Lisa) Newland of Warsaw, IN, Kurt (spouse Wendy) Newland of Delton, MI; siblings Steve (spouse Debbie) Newland of Delton, MI, Sidney Erickson of Bellview, MI, Leslie (spouse John) McElduff of Frankfort, MI, Adrian Newland of Wayland, MI, Caroline Newland of Ostego, MI, and Kristine (spouse Hugh) Newland of Plainwell, MI; grandchildren Emily, Nicholas, Katie, Alexis, Anjalaya, Jared, Rachel, Rebekah, Elizabeth, Matthew, Anna and Levi and great-grandchildren Aiden and Ella. He was preceded in death by a brother Thomas, a son Matthew Miner and his parents. A Funeral Mass will be conducted at St. Annes Episcopal Church on Wednesday January 25, 2012 at 11:00 AM. Calling hours are scheduled for 4:00 to 7:00 PM Tuesday January 24, 2012 at St. Annes with a Masonic Memorial Service scheduled for 7:00 PM that Evening conducted by Pierceton Masonic Lodge #377. The Right Reverend Brian Grantz and The Reverend Corinne Hodges will officiate the services. The Warsaw American Legion Post #49 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #1126 will conduct military Honors.
