Violet R. Oest

Violet R. Oest, age 84 of Warsaw passed away Saturday, November 12, 2011 at 1:45 PM at Visiting Nurses Hospice Home, Fort Wayne. She was born on July 23, 1927 in Blair, WI, to Clarence and Clara (Christiansen) Knutson. Violet has lived in the Warsaw area for fifty years. She married Walter H. Oest on June 14, 1947, he preceded her in death. Violet and Walter owned and operated their business, Oest Marine Garden, Warsaw. She was a member of an Independent Bible Church. Violet volunteered for Our Father’s House in Warsaw for 14 years. She was very patriotic and took pride in the power to vote for her party.She is survived by her three sons, Eric (and spouse Marilyn) Oest of Mary Esther, FL, Fred (and spouse Leslie) Oest of Hedgesville, WV and Kurt (and companion Kathy) Oest of Hampton, VA, two daughters Roseann (and spouse Jim) Miller of Port Huron, MI. and Peggy Woulard of Phoenix, AZ, two brothers and two sisters, ten grandchildren and six great grandchildren.Services will be held on Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at 1:00 pm at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw.Calling will be on Tuesday, November 15, 2011 one hour (12:00-1:00 PM) prior to the service at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw.Pastor Don Plank will officiate the servicesBurial will take place at Oakwood Cemetery at a later date.
