Shane E. Blackburn, 44 of Warsaw, Indiana passed away on Monday October 17, 2016 at 9:05 a.m. in Warsaw. On September 13, 1972 he was born in South Bend, Indiana to Diane Blackburn - Hicks. He married Brittany Rhoades on June 17, 2005 in Las Vegas, Nevada He was a graduate of Wawasee High School, Syracuse, Indiana Shane was working for the Kosciusko County Jail as a Jailer for 13 years. He also was a Reserve Officer for 6 years with the Milford Police Department. He attended Warsaw Community Church. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Shane is survived by his wife, Brittany Blackburn, 3 children Colette, Colter and Brixen Blackburn; parents Chris and Kathy Rhoades, all of Warsaw; his mother, Diane Blackburn - Hicks, Syracuse, Indiana; 3 sisters Michelle (Chad) Dailing, Milford, Tamara (Jamison) Tanner, Warsaw, Chelsey (Jeff) Parker, Claypool; six grandparents, John Blackburn, Goshen, Pete Avalos, Milford, Rebecca Runnells, Warsaw, Larrie Runnells, Rochester, Sue Rhoades, Warsaw, Diana Rhoades, Warsaw; Several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by, Norma Avalos, Milford, Don Hicks, Syracuse, Bill Rhoades, Warsaw, Bill and Dorothy Robinson, Milford and Bernice Toth, Rochester, Indiana. There will be a service on Friday October 21, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Oakwood Cemetery Chapel, Warsaw with Pastor Jamy Gregory officating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery. Memorial contributions are to be made to Brittany Blackburn/children’s college fund c/o Mchatton-Sadler Funeral Chapels, 2290 Provident Court, Warsaw, IN 46580. Arrangements are entrusted to McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, Indiana.
