Robert Howard Hile

Robert Howard Hile, 92, of Warsaw went home to be with his Lord. He died on 3/4/2011 at 4:35 AM at Miller's Merry Manor - Warsaw. He was born on May 11, 1918 in North Webster, Indiana. He was born to Howard LeroyAnd Celesta Ophilla (Eberly) Hile.He was united in marriage to Ruth A. Grubbs on January 27, 1979 in Kendallville, Indiana He spent his life living and working in North Webster, Warsaw, Fort Wayne and Kendallville, Ind. A part of Warsaw's history, he and his father owned and operated Hile's Auto Service in Warsaw for twenty years. He also worked at Fort Wayne American Auto, retiring from there in 1982. In his later years he worked for the Sun Times in Kendallville, delivering bulk newspapers to the surrounding communities of LaGrange, Shipshewana and others. While in Kendallville, he also worked for Quick Tanks for 15 years until 1998, when health problems would not let him continue working. After returning to Warsaw, he attended Warsaw Community Church and held memberships in the Warsaw Elks and the Eagles Lodge. He is survived by two sons, Jim Hile of Talma and Robert L. (and spouse Linda) of Warsaw, a daughter, Dannica Hile, who resides in Ocala, Florida, two grandsons, Mark Hile and David (and spouse Sherri) Hile, and a granddaughter, In addition, the Lord blessed him with several great-grandchildren as well as great-great grandchildren. His parents, a sister, Geraldine Gross and his wife Ruth preceded him in death. Pastor Jeff Pfeifer will conduct the services. Services will be held at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel - Warsaw on Tuesday March 8, 2011 at 10:00 AM. Calling hours will be 5 to 8 PM on Monday March 7, 2011.
