Rex Hogan

Rex Hogan, 85 of Pierceton, Indiana passed away at 11:35 pm Friday, February 24, 2017 in his residence, surrounded by his family. On October 7, 1931, he was born in Silver Lake, Indiana to Orval and Mildred (Leffel) Hogan. He was united in marriage to Diane Rae Kennedy on January 28, 1951 in Knox, Indiana. She preceded him in death on November 15, 2014. Rex was a contractor most of his life. He was joint owner of H H Construction and worked for White Metal, Warsaw until his retirement. He then was owner and operator of H H Mobile Village. Rex was a member of North Winona Church of the Brethren. Rex was also a lifetime member of the Kosciusko County Masonic Lodge #418, Milford, Order of the Eastern Star, 32nd Degree Mason Fort Wayne Valley Scottish Rite, The York Rite, Knights Templar, White Shrine Jerusalem, Mizpah Shrine Temple where he was a van driver for the Shriner’s Hospital for Children and Kosciusko County Shrine Club where he was a chaperone for the Shrine Circus. Rex is survived by his son, John (and spouse Dianne) Hogan, Goshen; three daughters: Debra (and spouse Carl) Hoyle, Zephyrhills, Florida, Sally Priser, Warsaw, Laura (and spouse Steve) Kasper, Warsaw; Fifteen Grandchildren: Lisa (and spouse Jerry) Osborne, Melinda (and spouse Bubba) Gilileo, Dustin (and spouse Renee) Hoyle, Sara (and spouse Rich) Larocque, David (and spouse Cindy) Findley, Jordan (and spouse Amie) Kasper, Matt Priser, Derek (and spouse Megan) Findley, Daniel (and spouse Ashley) Findley, Keith (and spouse Heather) Priser, Stacy Priser, Kari (and spouse Derek) Flores-LeFranc, Michelle (and spouse Jason) Stephenson, Holly Hogan and Sean Hogan; 33 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great-Great Grandchild. He was also preceded in death by his father, Orval Hogan; mother, Mildred Maple; son, Don Hogan and son-in-law, James Priser. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon on Friday, March 3, 2017 at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw with Pastor Gary Boschain officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw. Visitation hours will be from 3:00 – 8:00 pm on Thursday, March 2, 2017 at the funeral chapel and also one hour prior to the service on Friday. A Masonic Lodge service will be held at 7:30 pm followed by an Eastern Star service all at the funeral chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to Kosciusko Homecare and Hospice, P.O.
