Patricia Reid

Patricia “Pat” J. Reid (Ulrey) of N. Manchester passed away at Peabody Retirement Community on January 19, 2025, in North Manchester at the age of 78.

Pat was the oldest of 3 children and shared memories of growing up and raising rabbits with her father and learning to sew with her mother.

She took care of her parents toward the ends of their lives. She spent her working years with computers and was a software programmer.

Pat devoted over 60 years of her life to being one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. She had a deep passion for studying the Bible and cherished the opportunity to share her understanding of Jehovah with everyone she encountered. Pat enjoyed gardening and eagerly anticipated the fulfillment of Jehovah’s promise of being a part of the new paradise earth (Psalms 37:11,29,34).

She delighted in caring for her cats and loved spending time with them.

Pat is survived by her son Matthew, his wife Amber (Penrod), her grandchildren--Korben, Madison and Josephine Reid—of N. Manchester; her two siblings, Gerald Scott Ulrey Jr (Vickie) of Claypool and Marilyn Boykin (Tony) of South Bend. Pat is preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Jerry D. Reid and her parents Gerald and Margaret Ulrey (Bolinger).
