Patricia “Pat” Ann Mullins, age 90, passed away on Thursday, January 9, 2025 at Peabody Retirement Community in North Manchester, Indiana where she had resided from 2017. She was formerly of Etna Green, Indiana.
The first born to her parents Lawrence and Lucille (Hollar) Cole on July 6, 1934. One of Pat’s most cherished memories growing up was spending time with her grandmother Dessie Mae Cole whom she adored dearly.
Pat attended Etna Green High School and was a proud member of the band. She received her GED in 1983 attended Ivy Tech College in 1986 studying computer keyboarding.
She was never scared of hard work. As a young adult, she worked at Playtime, RR Donnelly’s of Warsaw and retired from The Etna Quick Mart, but that didn’t last long, she then worked for Williamsburg of Nappanee as a home sewer until her full retirement in 2011.
Pat married on June 11, 1965 to John L Mullins; He preceded her in death January 1, 2014. Living most of her life in Etna Green, she and her husband John owned a home in Englewood, Florida for 40 years, where they vacationed with their children and spent their retirement years as Snowbirds.
Blessed with a green thumb, Pat loved flowers and doing crafty hobbies such as sewing, crocheting, and quilting with her Florida ladies’ group.
Pat was a loving and kind person sharing home-cooked meals, sweet treats and especially her famous old-fashioned fudge with family and friends.
She was a longtime member of the Etna Green Church of Christ where she volunteered as needed.
The last eight years, Pat resided at Peabody Retirement Community with her beloved dog Bella. Bella brought so much joy and companionship to Pat and her Peabody Family. Both Pat and Bella were Ambassadors welcoming in the new residents helping them feel comfortable with their new home and community. Pat enjoyed the activities at Peabody along with making numerous friendships. She was especially fond of the staff who treated her like family.
She will be loving missed by her daughters; Deborah (Michael) Flenar of Warsaw and Cynthia (David) Clark, of Pierceton; her beloved Bella; daughters-in-law: Linda Kramer Hall, Leesburg and Nancy Mullins, Weatherford, TX; sister: Beverly (Kyle) Carter of Etna Green; Sister-in-laws: Sharon Robinson of Lapaz and Tammy Bott Cole, Indianapolis. Along with 12 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her parents; sister: Carol Sue Flenar; brother: Donald “Jug” Cole; sons: Steve Hall, Jerry Mullins, and Terry Hall; daughters: Judy Roberts and Joyce Wright; grandsons: Aaron Flenar and Clinton Mullins; daughter-in-law: Jenny Hall; sons-in-law: Harold Wright and Daryl Roberts; brothers-in-law: Kay Flenar, Eugene Weirick, Dusty Westafer, Gerald Leffert and John Robinson; sisters-in-law: Lisbeth Cole, Betty Weirick, Barbara Westafer and Joan Leffert.
A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, January 13, 2025 in Etna Green Cemetery East, 450 E. High Street, Etna Green.
McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapels of Warsaw is in charge of arrangements.
