Olie O Herron

Odell Herron, 95, of Warsaw, went to be with her lord and savior on Friday, March 17, 2023 at Mason Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Odell was born August 8, 1927, in Carrollton, Alabama, to Francis and Mary (Prichett) McCool, and was the last living of 23 Children. She was united in marriage to Murry Herron, Sr. on December 12, 1945 who proceeded her in death in 1985.

Odell worked as a nurse aide for Prairie View and attended Salvation Army Church. She was involved in many activities at the church and loved serving the Lord. She treasured her grandchildren and her great grandchildren and enjoyed cooking and thrift shopping.

Odell will be lovingly remembered by her son, Chaplain Murry (Julie) Herron Jr., of Clearwater Florida; two daughters, Martha Young of Warsaw and Dorothy Brumfield of Lady Lake, Florida, also surviving are 12 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and one great great granddaughter. She was preceded in passing by a daughter Judy F. Hyde and a son-in-law Danny Brumfield.

Burial in Oakwood Cemetery. A Celebration of Odell’s Life will be held at 5:30 pm Tuesday, March 21, 2023, in The Salvation Army Church, 501 E Arthur St. Arrangements are through McHatton Sadler Funeral Chapels, 2290 Provident Ct. Warsaw, Indiana.
