Michael E. Scott, 52, of Warsaw, Indiana passed away on Saturday, April 9, 2011 at 11:45 am in his residence. He was born on October 21, 1958 in Peru, Indiana to David L. and Valentine (Tschiniak) Scott Sr. He was a native of Peru, Indiana and formerly of Casper Wyoming, he moved to Warsaw in 1987. He married Cynthia France on November 20, 1982 in Casper Wyoming. He graduated from Peru High School, Class of 1978. Michael was Owner of Hoosier Body Shop, Warsaw for 21 years. He was also formerly employed by Classic car of Warsaw as a an auto body repair technician, where he did work for Hank Williams Jr, the vehicle that starred in the movie Christine and also the Cadillac in the movie Cocoon. He also was an instructor for Heartland Vocational College, Wabash, Indiana and for Lakeland Christian School Drivers Education Program and the Warsaw Community School Drivers Education Program. He participated in the Cooperative Educational program as a sponsor and workplace site for Warsaw Community High School. Michael was a member of Warsaw Moose Lodge and National Rifle Association and also attended Pleasant View Bible Church, Warsaw. His hobbies included, motorcycles, canoeing, camping, collecting hornets nests, trail riding and car shows. He is survived by his wife, Cynthia Scott, Warsaw; daughter, Betsy (and spouse Jeremiah) Paseka, Monroeville, Pennsylvania; son, Nick Scott, Warsaw; Parents, David and Val Scott Sr., Peru; 2 sisters, Tammy (and spouse Jeff) Hierholzer, Santa Fe, Indiana and Stephanie Oliver, Peru; 2 brothers, Charlie (and spouse Cathy) Scott, Arcadia, Florida and David (and spouse Melody) Scott Jr., Virginia Beach, Virginia; grandmother, Anna Tschiniak, Peru and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by a son, Michael Scott Jr; 2 grandfathers, Jacob Tschiniak and Paul F. Scott and a grandmother, Eleanor Scott. Visitation will be on Wednesday, April 13, 2011 from 2:00 4:00 and 6:00 8:00 pm at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, April 14, 2011 at 10:00 am at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw with Pastor Ryan Petgen officiating. Private interment will take place at Mount Hope Cemetery, Peru, Indiana. The family requests memorial contributions are to be made to Michael E. Scott Memorial Scholarship Fund, C/o McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, 2290 Provident Court, Warsaw, Indiana 46580.
