Mary Frances Riffe

Mary Frances Riffe, age 92, of Warsaw, IN passed away April 27, 2011 at 7:38 am in Miller’s Merry Manor Warsaw, IN. She was born May 18, 1918 in Kokomo, IN to Vassel and Lulu (Van Cleave) Cross. She was a former resident of Kokomo, IN, Anna Maria Island, FL, Oswego, IN and was a Warsaw, IN resident since 1975. In Kokomo, In on November 24, 1937 she was united in marriage to Walter “Ted” Riffe who preceded her in 1980. Mary was employed by Kline’s Department Store of Warsaw, IN as a Sales Clerk for 27 years. In addition, she was former Co-Owner of the Oswego Riverside Service Center. She was member of First Christian Church of Warsaw, IN, the Red Hat Club and Kosciusko Home Extension Club. She was a 1936 graduate of Kokomo High School. Survivors include a son Steve (and Spouse Susie) Riffe of Leesburg, IN, a daughter Andrea (and spouse Fred) Hershberger of Elkhart, IN, 4 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. She was preceded by 4 brothers, 2 sisters and 1 grandson. Services will be Friday, April 29, 2011 at 12:00 pm in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel of Warsaw, IN. Calling hours are from 10:00 am to12:00 pm on Friday, April 29, 2011 at the Funeral Chapel. Pastor Gary Boschain of the First Christian Church of Warsaw will officiate the services. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery Warsaw, IN.
