Leora G. Lowe Fuller

March 16, 1916 — July 2, 2011

Leora G. (Lowe) Fuller, 95 passed away on July 2, 2011 at 8:20 am in her room at Miller’s Merry Manor in Warsaw. Leora was born “on the farm” near Butler, IN on March 16, 1916 to Earl Jay and Bessie (Lewis) Lowe. She was a business school graduate, pastry cook, and an accountant for General Electric and Tupperware, but always felt full-time mother was her highest vocation. Wherever she lived, Leora was a community volunteer, often her church, with the Salvation Army, and with the community hospitals in Anderson (Indiana), Monroe (Louisiana), and Warsaw (Indiana). In Warsaw, she was a member of Warsaw Evangelical Presbyterian Church. She and beloved husband William “Bill” Fuller, who preceded her in death in 1989, traveled in their camper throughout the United States, visiting every state and most of our National Parks. During her later years, her passions were her church activities, her local grandchildren, and playing cards. When asked, she always said she was most proud of her family: daughters Susan Stipp (Reverend R. Rhodes Stipp) of Shreveport, Louisiana, and Connie Johnson (Richard H. Johnson) of Cincinnati, Ohio; and sons Gerry Fuller (Carol Shellenberger Fuller) of Arlington, Virginia, and Dennis Fuller (Kimberly Gast Fuller) of Warsaw. In addition to her four children, she is survived by 9 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Wherever the family got together, she always bake them a batch of sour cream cookies. There is no visitation hours planned and a private burial will be held in Butler, Indiana. The family request that the memorial contributions be made to the donor’s choice.
