Kathryn A. Christian, 73, Warsaw passed away Friday July 31, 2015 at 10:31 a.m. at Visiting Nurse Hospice Home, Fort Wayne. She was born on February 13, 1942 to Henry and Mabel (Kegley) Willey in Elkhart, IN. She has been a Warsaw resident since 2003. She was united in marriage on July 23, 1960 to Nicholas Christian. She was a Special Education Teacher for Concord Oxbow (Elkhart), Concord Eastside (Elkhart), Concord Westside (Elkhart), Concord High School (Elkhart) and Goshen High School. She retired after 23 1/2 years in 2002. She was a member of Creekside Brethren Church while living in Elkhart and Warsaw Wesleyan Church after moving to Warsaw. Kathryn enjoyed sewing, quilting, photography, painting and doing arts and crafts with her grand and great grandchildren. She loved to watch and listen to thunderstorms and the waves of Lake Michigan. Kathryn was a nature lover and one of her favorite places to go and take in the beauty God created was Fernwood Botanical Gardens. Kathryn had a deep faith, love and commitment to Jesus Christ and proclaimed him as her Savior and Lord until her last breath. Kathryn is survived by two daughters, Lori (and spouse Will) Beltran, and Carol (and spouse Scott) Bianchini; a son, Scott (and spouse Kim) Christian; two sisters, Pat Collins and Frances Huff; a brother, Henry Willey Jr. 13 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her sister, Debbie and her beloved dog Scooter. Our MotherOur Mother is a woman like no other. She gave us life, nurtured us, taught us, dressed us, fought for us, held us, shouted at us, kissed us, but most of all she loved us unconditionally. She was and will continue to be a powerful influence on all of us.
