On Valentines Day February 14, 2012 our precious mother Joyce Arlene Johnson went home to be with the Lord. She passed away at 2:05 PM in Kosciusko Community Hospital Warsaw, IN. On April 12, 1928, in Nappanee, IN Joyce was born to Lester and Frances Patricia (Rockwell) Atichson. She married William L. Johnson on August 21, 1947 in Danville, Illinois. Joyce was a homemaker and lifetime Warsaw, Indiana resident. She also attended New Life Christian Church in Warsaw. She is survived by two daughters; Frances (and spouse Woody) Hancock, Warsaw, In; Pamela (and spouse Don) Rogers, Mancelona, Michigan; sister; Alice (and spouse Claude) Johnson, Warsaw, IN; 6 Grandchildren, 19 Great-Grandchildren, 3 Great-Great Grandsons. Her husband William, one son Billy, two brothers Eugene and Bob, also one infant sister, preceded Joyce in death. In addition, two son-in-laws David and Jim, whom she loved very much, preceded her. She was the best mother and friend who was always there when we needed with her white hair and the wisdom she shared with us. In a word, she was awesome. She may be out of our sight but never out of our hearts. She is loved and we will be reunited with her. That is our promise and Gods promise to us. Interment services will be held privately in Oakwood Cemetery Warsaw, IN. McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel is entrusted with the arrangements. Pastor John B. Lowe will officiate the services. No calling hours are planned.
