Jan J. Kuntz

Jan J. Kuntz, age 66, of Warsaw, IN passed away April 4, 2011 at Gulf Coast Medical Center, Fort Myers, FL. Jan was born July 28, 1944 in Warsaw, IN to Philip J. and Lucille (Brock) Kuntz. Jan was born and raised in Bourbon, IN and resided in Warsaw, IN for the Past 30 years. In 1980 he was united in marriage to Linda K. Slater. He worked for United Parcel Service for 25 years prior to retiring in 1998. Jan was member of Warsaw Community Church, the Teamsters Union Local 710, Warsaw Moose Lodge and the Mariners Cove Shuffle Team. His interests include walking, bicycling, shuffling, boating, traveling, watching IU basketball, playing board games, wintering in Florida,and spending time with friends and family. Survivors include his wife Linda K. Kuntz of Warsaw, IN; mother Lucille Kuntz-Neidlinger of Grace Village, Winona Lake, IN; two daughters Teri (and spouse Jamie)Detweiler of Bremen, IN and Cari (spouse Chris) Snyder also of Bremen, IN. In addition, he is survived by five grandchildren Adam Hudson, Alissa and Makali Detweiler, and Collin and Chandler Snyder all of Bremen, IN. Furthermore, a great-grand-daughter Ann Marie Hudson also survives. He was preceded by his brother Tim B. Kuntz, father Philip J. Kuntz and a step-daughter Lorissa J. Rigsby. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, April 23, 2011 at 11:00 am in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, IN. Calling hours will be from 9:00 am to 11:00 am Saturday. Pastor Kevin Miller of the Bremen United Methodist Church will officiate the services. Interment will be private.
