Jack Junior Bilz, 89, of Dallas, Texas, died on 4/3/2009 at 11:30 AM at Dallas, Texas. He was born on January 9, 1920 in Warsaw, Indiana. Jack was born to John H. and Athol Mae (Brown) Bilz. After a career as an outstanding pilot, he retired and became an active volunteer with Meals on Wheels for 20 years, a volunteer with the Methodist Hospital of Dallas Auxiliary, and a member of Oak Cliff Lions Club. Since the age of 16, Jack shared his beautiful tenor voice with family, friends and church choirs. He was a devoted member of Tyler Street Methodist Church since 1965. As a 1st Lieutenant in WWII, Jack was stationed in England as a B-24 pilot in the Air Force. He is survived by: his wife, Carol of 65 years; daughters, Connie Jordan and Cindy Felts; son-n-laws Don Jordan and David Felts; grandchildren, Erin Felts Hager and her husband Jeremy, Alan Felts, and Christi Jordan; great-grandchildren, Ty Hager and twin sisters Keirra and Kaydin Hager. Viewing and funeral service will be held at Jeters Funeral Home, 4830 W. Illinois, Dallas Texas, 214-330-4700: Viewing will be 2-4 P.M. Sunday, April 5, 2009; Funeral service will be Monday, April 6, 2009 at 2 P.M. In Warsaw, Indiana there will be a graveside service Thursday, April 9 with Military Honor's by the American Legion Post 49 and the VFW Post 1126 Services will be held at Graveside Oakwood Cemetery on Thursday, April 9, 2009 at 10:00 AM. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery - Warsaw, IN. McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel - Warsaw is in charge of arrangements.
