Frank Hurd, 64 of Warsaw, Indiana passed away at 2:45 pm Sunday, February 21, 2016 in his residence. On January 31, 1952, he was born in Estel, Kentucky to Frank and Marie (Shepherd) Hurd Sr. He was united in marriage to Linda Hyden in 1991 in Warsaw, Indiana, who survives. Living most of his life in Warsaw, Frank worked as a lead man on a set up crew for Gatke Corporation for ten years. He was also a member of God’s Highway to Heaven Church, Warsaw. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps. during the Vietnam Conflict. He is survived by his wife, Linda Hurd, Warsaw, Indiana; five children, Darwin Hurd, Warsaw, Mary (and spouse Pat) Burleson, Etna Green, Penny (and spouse David) Blake, Warsaw, Richard (and spouse Faith) Hurd, Seattle, Washington and Elinor Hurd, Warsaw; three step children, James Glant III, Mishawaka, Wendy Marie Bartley, Pikesville, Kentucky and Anna Sue Perry, Warsaw; five sisters, Lorraine Wussles, Margaret (and spouse Barry) Benson, Pauline (and spouse Ron) Anderson, Doralee (and spouse Mike) Buell and Mary Sue Bradley; one brother, Jim Hurd; twenty grandchildren, two great grandchildren and one great grandchild on the way. Frank was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Darwin Hurd. A funeral service will be at 1:00 pm Friday, February 26, 2016 in God’s Highway to Heaven Church, Warsaw with Reverend Bob Brown officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw with military honors by the American Legion Post #49 and VFW Post #1196. Visitation hours will be from 10:00 – 1:00 pm Friday, February 26, 2016 at the church.
