Donald Eugene Sloan, 53, of Warsaw, Indiana, died on 10/25/2010 at 5:40 am at Warsaw Meadows Healthcare Center, Warsaw, Indiana. He was born on January 3, 1957 in Warsaw, Indiana. A lifetime resident of the Warsaw and Pierceton areas, Donald was the son of William and Betty (Bays) Adams and adopted son of Hazel and Dolly (Allen) Sloan. He served in the United States Army from 1985 to 1987. He worked in well drilling for Jim Ousley Drilling Co. and also in logging for Bobby Allen Logging Co. Donald was a member of American Legion Post #258, Pierceton, Indiana and he loved NASCAR and sports.Donald is survived by 4 Children; Dustin Sloan, Etna GreenMadison King, Kayley Sloan and Nicholas Sloan, all of Pierceton.2 Grandchildren; Conrad Benjamin Sloan and Kayden Allen Sloan3 Sisters; Ella Ree (and spouse Frank) Labaj, Michigan CityPatricia Sue Akers, WarsawMagil Akers, Ohio2 Brothers; Rick Tinkey, WarsawCharles MosherHe was preceded in death by his parents, adoptive parents, 2 brothers; Billy and James Akers and a daughter, Jamie Marie Sloan.Don was blessed with many loving and helpful friends and relatives. Services will be held at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Pierceton, Indiana on Thursday, October 28, 2010 at 12:00 pm with Pastor Jeff Pfeiffer officiating.. Calling hours will be 11:00 - 12:00pm at the funeral chapel on Thursday, October 28, 2010. Burial will be at Hillcrest Cemetery, Pierceton, Indiana. McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Pierceton, Indiana is in charge of arrangements. Military honors will be performed by the American Legion Post #258, Pierceton.The family request memorial contributions are made to Kosciusko Homecare and Hospice, P.O.
