Donald E. Dicken,  87, of Warsaw, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, September 9, 2021  in Paddock Springs Senior Living, Warsaw. Born on September 12, 1933, in Richmond, Indiana, Donald was the son of Sam and Ruth (Moore) Dicken. He was united in marriage to Sondra Jean Montressor on March 20, 1960, in Sarasota, Florida. He was a graduate of Richmond High School. Don proudly served his country in the U.S. Army as a Private First Class during the Korean Conflict. Don was a member of American Legion Post 49, Warsaw. He formerly was an assistant golf professional at Elks Country Club in Richmond and Point O’Woods Country Club, Benton Harbor, MI prior to becoming the First Golf Professional at Rozella Ford Golf Club, Warsaw in 1961.   He obtained his Master PGA Professional Certification in 1991. His lowest competitive score was a 64 and had a total of 12 hole-in-ones.  Don enjoyed coaching the game of golf during his career from 1957- 2010.  While at Rozella Ford Golf Course he was recognized as Teacher of the Year, Merchandiser of the Year and Golf Professional of the Year by the Indiana PGA. He dearly loved his family and friends and continued to enjoy helping people with their game for many years after he retired.  Don’s memberships included Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Rozella Ford Golf Club, Stonehenge Country Club, PGA of America, and Indiana PGA. Don is survived by his wife of 61 years, Sondra Dicken of Warsaw; children, Michael (Kelly Shepherd) Dicken of Ft. Collins, CO, Donna (Glenn)Scott of Wadsworth, IL, and Stephen Dicken of Warsaw; 10 grandchildren and one great grandson.  He was preceded in passing by five brothers. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday September 15, 2021 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Warsaw with Father Jonathan Norton officiating.  A Celebration of Life open house will be held at the El Faro Grill at Rozella Ford Golf Course from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 15, 2021.
