Dan K. Gast, age 90, of Warsaw, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, April 10, 2021 in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Dan was born March 6, 1931 in Logansport, Indiana to Robert P. and Geneva H. (Mills) Gast. He lived most of his life in Warsaw. He was united in marriage to Diane “Diddy” Hay on May 4, 1955: who preceded him in death on May 29, 2012. They were married 57 years. Dan proudly served in the U.S. Army. As part of Gast Construction Company, he helped build highways and airport runways in Indiana and Ohio. He enjoyed volunteering for the American Cross and Boy Scouts of America. Dan is survived by his brother, Jim Gast, and children, Dana Kay (John) Pritchett, Kimberly (Denny) Fuller, Stephanie D. Gast, Anthony Gast, Stacey (Howard) Cox; eight grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren.. He was preceded in death by his wife Diddy Gast, infant son, Jerry Bruce; siblings, Jack Gast, Sue Gilbert, and Steve Gast. Dan’s private graveside service was held on Tuesday, April 27, 2021. The next time you are hunting, fishing, trapping, playing tennis, in a swamp, or enjoying a big bowl of ice cream, keep Dan in your thoughts.
