Cynthia Pearl Whitaker went home to be with the lord at the age of 87 on July 6th 2012. She was born in Prestonsburg, Kentucky on November 8th 1924 to Millard and Eva (Adams) Prater. On August 16th 1943, she married the love of her life Rev. Albert Whitaker and she lived most of her life in Warsaw, Indiana. Rev Albert Whitaker and Pearl are the founders of the Pentecostal Lighthouse Church in Warsaw, IN. She retired from Da-Lite Screen of Warsaw in 1988 after 21 years of service. She is survived by her sons James (spouse Barbara) Whitaker of Warsaw; Sam(spouse Jennifer) Whitaker of Claypool and daughter Kay (spouse Thomas) Miller of Warsaw. In addition, 11 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren survive. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Albert Whitaker, 1 grandson, 3 brothers and 7 sisters. Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday July 11, 2012 at 10:00 AM in the Pentecostal Lighthouse Church of Warsaw, IN located at 125 Fawley Street. Visitation hours are scheduled from 4:00 to 8:00 PM Tuesday July 10, 2012 at the Church. The Reverend Eugene Haney will officiate. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
