Clair Douglas Doug Kehler, 75 of Warsaw, Indiana passed away at 4:12 am Tuesday, October 21, 2014 in Grace Village Healthcare Center, Winona Lake, Indiana, On January 26, 1939, he was born in Warsaw, Indiana to Clair H. and C. Lucille (Kennedy) Kehler. He was united in marriage to Diana Miller Walker on the Dixie Boat at North Webster Lake on September 25, 1993, who survives. Doug graduated from Warsaw High School in 1957 and then attended Grace College, Winona Lake with an Associates Degree. Doug was a lifetime resident of Warsaw. He worked for L. M. Berry Yellow pages and then for General Advertising for Sprint, Ohio and Indiana. Doug owned Mini Motor Auto Sales and Duffel Bag Mini Storage. He served in the field artillery battalion, U.S. Army. He was a member of Elks Lodge #802, Warsaw, where he was a three time Exalted Ruler. He was a member of the Lake Area Sports Club and the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary. He was also a longtime fan of Spike Jones and started to entertain at the age of 10. Doug was an avid sailor, sailing his boat to the Bahamas, accompanied by his wife, and they lived aboard. He is survived by his wife, Diana M. Kehler, Warsaw; two sons, Chris (spouse Tammy) Kehler, Warsaw and Mitch (spouse Jen) Kehler, Carmel; one daughter, Shawn Haines (fiancée Joe Winterrowd) Leesburg; two stepsons, Kevin (spouse Cheryl) Walker, Milford and Mark (spouse Anne) Walker, Washington D.C.; one stepdaughter, Bethanie (fiancée Jason Jones) Broughton, Lafayette; eleven grandchildren, Hanna (spouse Bud) Losee, Etna Green, Jessica (spouse Miles) Wynn, Gresham, Oregon, Isaac Long, Warsaw, Clairissa Kehler, Warsaw, Caitlin Kehler, Warsaw, Kaylee Kehler, Carmel, Megan Walker and Amy Walker, Milford, Jacob Foutch, Lafayette, Alyssa Walker and Aleena Walker, Washington D.C. Visitation hours will be from 11:00 -1:00 pm Friday, October 24, 2014 in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. A funeral service will be at 1:00 pm Friday, October 24, 2014 in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw with Reverend Gretchen Sylvester. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
