Carl May

Carl Allen May, 61, Warsaw, Indiana, passed away on Monday, April 14th, 2025, at IU Heath University Hospital, Indianapolis, Indiana.

Carl was born on March 9th, 1964, to B. June (Snoke) Reece and William A. Geiger, in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He was then lovingly adopted by William E. May in 1967. On December 10th, 1983, he married his high school sweetheart, Denyse M. Poe. Together they raised a son, Casey A. May, and daughter, Karis M. May of Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Known for his work ethic, he worked at R.R. Donnelly, and then for LSC Communications for over 35 years. He enjoyed being outdoors and keeping his lawn in pristine condition. Carl also spent much of his time building computers.

One of his greatest loves was spending time with his granddaughter, Joslin. The two of them were inseparable.

Carl is survived by his wife Denyse; daughter, Karis M. May; granddaughter, Joslin; mother, B. June (Snoke) Reece, and stepfather, Monte J. Reece of Lehigh Acres, Florida; sisters, Deborah Daughtery of Las Vegas, Nevada and Kelly Earl of Fort Wayne, Indiana; stepsisters, Vicki Robinson, Karen Smith, and Michelle Adkinson; stepbrother Todd Reece; adopted aunt, June Gross and many cousins.

He was preceded in death by his son Casey A. May; father, William E. May; stepfather, Richard W. Black; adopted grandparents, Raymond (Margaret) May; grandmother, Betty J. Schaaf; and special grandma in-law, Dorotha M. Sheets.

May the memories of Carl bring comfort to all that knew him.
