Betty Joan Danner

Betty Joan Danner, age 90, of Pierceton, Indiana passed away Friday, March 20, 2015 at 12:36 AM in Lutheran Hospital of Fort Wayne. She was born October 17, 1924 to Hallie Francis and Cora Amelia (Julow) Symons in Howard County, Indiana. She was united in marriage to Lorin L. Danner October 13, 1946 in Warsaw, IN. She attended the Pierceton United Methodist Church and was a life member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Post 258, Pierceton. She was formerly employed by United Telephone Company/Sprint and retired in 1983 after 24 years of service and was then employed by Lake City Bank and retired in 2006 after 20 years of service. Survivors include 3 children, son Gale E. (Juanita) Danner of Warsaw and 2 daughters Teresa E. (Ron) Conley and Susan E. (Mike) Stevens both of Pierceton. In addition grandsons Todd Danner of Pierceton, James Danner of Seattle, WA, Jeff (Kassie) Branning of Larwill, Terry (Tracie) Stoddard of Columbia City; step-grandsons Roger Fitzpatrick, Claypool, Eric Conley and Adam Conley of Lakeland, FL survive. Furthermore, granddaughters Karen Danner of Seattle, WA, Christina (Jason) Mozzone of Columbia City, Samantha (Zack) O’Vadka of Indianapolis survive. She has 6 great grandchildren Thomas, Bridget, Andrew, Kate, Holly and Lorin and 11 step great grandchildren. Also, sister-in-laws Annette Symons of Alachua, FL and Dorothy Symons of Elkhart survive. Her husband Lorin preceded her November 21, 2012, and brothers James A., Robert W. and Hallie F. Symons, JR. preceded. Graveside services will be conducted Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at 2:00 PM in Hillcrest Cemetery, Pierceton officiated by Chaplain Bob Jarboe of Kosciusko Home Care and Hospice.
