Andrew Albert Pfefferkorn Jr., 81, of Leesburg died at 1:55am. November 27, 2011 at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne. He was born December 2, 1929, in Ashley, In., to Andrew A. and Louise Vanderbosch Pfefferkorn. On October 16, 1954, he married Carol A. Rogers at St Michael's Catholic Church in Waterloo, In. He was a graduate of Ashley High School and John Carroll University in Cleveland, Ohio. He was retired from The Weatherhead Company and United Technologies. He later came out of retirement and worked part time at Ye Olde Bait and Tackle in North Webster. He was an avid fisherman and a master gardener. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Warsaw. He was a US Army Veteran serving from1947 to 1949. Also surviving in addition to his spouse are a daughter, Debra (and spouse Steven) Blauser, Warsaw;, five sons: Thomas Pfefferkorn, Fort Wayne, Steven Pfefferkorn, Warsaw, Michael (and spouse Stephanie) Pfefferkorn, Fort Wayne, Robert (and spouse Theresa) Pfefferkorn, Las Vegas, and Patrick (and spouse Nicole) Pfefferkorn, Warsaw. Eleven grandchildren: Daniel Hatch, Dawn Howett, Denise Hankins, Alexander Pfefferkorn, Christopher Pfefferkorn all of Warsaw, Diane Fitzpatrick of Nappannee, Allison Pfefferkorn of Brownsburg, Natalie Pfefferkorn of Fort Wayne and Bryce Pfefferkorn, Tyler Pfefferkorn, Trey Pfefferkorn all of Las Vegas. Eleven great grandchildren: Kyle Hatch, Dara Hatch, Lucas Howett, Amslie Howett, Simon Hankins and Andrew Hankins all of Warsaw, Tyler Fitzpatrick and Hanna Fitzpatrick of Napanee, Alyssa Klotz of Brownsburg, Caitlin Pfefferkorn and Hailey Pfefferkorn of Fort Wayne. He is also survived by two brothers, Aelred Pfefferkorn, Waterloo, Leo Pfefferkorn, Albion; three sisters: Estella Royal, Los Lunas, New Mexico, Mildred Miller, Waterloo, and Susie Lambright, Ligonier. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Lauren Pfefferkorn of Las Vegas; his brothers, Carl Pfefferkorn, Ralph Pfefferkorn and Norbert Pfefferkorn. A mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, December 2, 2011 at 11:00 am in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Warsaw. Calling hours will be Thursday 4:00 to 8:00 PM with a Rosary Service at 7:30 PM at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. Father Phil DeVolder will officiate the Services.Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw Memorials may be made to: Sacred Heart School 135 N. Harrison St. Warsaw, Indiana 46580
