Amos Miller Jr., 72, peacefully passed away in his daughter’s home on Friday, January 24, 2025 in
Goshen. He was formerly living in Bourbon.
Amos was born on March 11, 1952 in Noblesville, Indiana to Amos and Anna (Helmuth) Miller.
In June of 1974, Amos took Carrie Kauffman as his bride and they would welcome two children.
He drove for Bennett Motor Express as a self-employed truck driver until his retirement. Amos very
much enjoyed all the traveling and seeing new places.
Amos could be blunt and particular, and was very independent. He was a busy-body and enjoyed
woodworking or working on his truck and trailer. His dogs meant very much to him.
He is survived by his children, Gary A. Miller of Memphis, TN and Anna (Bryan) Harner of Goshen;
grandchildren, Tiffane (Brandon) Krieg and Jordan Walter; great-grandchildren, Emery Griffin and Amelia
Hunter; sisters: Katie (Alvin) Miller of Bourbon, Mary (Ken) Miller of Plymouth and Ada Mae Miller of
Bremen as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Amos was preceded in death by his parents; step-mother Katie Miller; wife Carrie; 2 sisters, Carolyn
Borkholder and Lydia Ellen Miller; 4 brothers: Glen, Harley, Jake and Delbert Miller; and 2 brothers-in-
law, Noah Borkholder and Herman Miller.
