Alan Wayne Sumpter

Alan Wayne Sumpter, 56 of Warsaw, Indiana passed away at 10:05 am, Sunday, May 13, 2012 in his residence. On December 20, 1955, Alan was born to Wayne and MaryEtta (Biltz) Sumpter in Warsaw, Indiana. He married Linda Peter on March 23, 1974 in Warsaw. A lifetime resident of Warsaw, he was a co-owner of Tri-Lakes Container Corporation, Pierceton. Alan was also a member of Warsaw Evangelical Presbyterian Church. Alan is survived by his wife, Linda Sumpter, Warsaw; three children, Jeramy (and spouse Tammy) Sumpter, Newark, Ohio, Jaime Bozzo, Warsaw and Jason (and spouse Tina) Sumpter, Warsaw; mother, MaryEtta DeSear, Bradenton, Florida; two brothers, David Sumpter, Silver Lake and Andi (and spouse Ami) Sumpter, San Francisco, California; 9 grandchildren and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father. A memorial service will be at 4:00 pm on Monday, May 21, 2012 at Warsaw Evangelical Presbyterian Church with Pastor Erik Ohman officiating. A private burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw. There are no visitation hours planned.
