Addlene Bays

Addlene Bays, age 88, of Warsaw, Indiana passed away at 3:15 am, Saturday, July 16, 2011 at Miller's Merry Manor, Huntington, Indiana. On September 11, 1922, Addlene was born to Randolph “R.D.” and Sarah E. (Sparks) Hall in Myrtle, Kentucky. She moved to Kosciusko County in the 1950's. She married Elbert “Red” Bays on February 28, 1953 in Angola, Indiana. He preceded her in death on October 24, 1994. Addlene was a homemaker and was also a member of Pentecostal Lighthouse Church, Warsaw. She is survived by a brother, Ed Hall, McGuffey, Ohio; 3 sisters, Irene Smith, Kenton, Ohio; Eva Jean Hollon, Alger, Ohio and Annabelle (and spouse Noah) Hollon, Alger, Ohio; 1 step daughter, Reba Jean Tackett, Finley, Ohio and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by 2 brothers, Woodrow and Bill Hall and a sister, Hazel Miller. Addlene loved her family but God was always first in her life. She was an inspiration to all that knew her and will be greatly missed by her niece, Phyllis Bays and family, the daughter she never had. Funeral services will be held at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw at 1:00 pm, Tuesday, July 19, 2011 with Pastor Terry Bradford officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw. Visitation hours will be from 11:00 - 1:00 pm, Tuesday, July 19, 2011 at the funeral chapel.
