Ethel was born to Smith and Audie (Poe) Johnson. She married Odis Shepherd in 1935 in Kentucky. He preceded her in death on September 22, 1995. Ethel moved to Claypool in 1952 and then moved to Warsaw in 1993. She was a homemaker and was a member of Pentecostal Lighthouse Church, Warsaw. She is survived by 3 Sons; Arnold (and spouse Cindy) Shepherd, Ligonier, Indiana John (and spouse Sandy) Shepherd, Ligonier,Indiana Donald (and spouse Patty) Shepherd, Ligonier, Indiana 1 Sister; Grethel Gibson, Warsaw, Indiana 1 Brother; Butler Johnson, Warsaw,Indiana 2 Daughter-In-Laws; Jayne Shepherd, Silver Lake, Indiana Elaine Shepherd, Fairburn, South Dakota 20 Grandchildren 37 Great Grandchildren 7 Great-Great Grandchildren Ethel is also preceded in death by 2 Sons, 3 Sisters, 2 Brothers, 1 Grandson and 1 Great Granddaughter.
Services will be held at Pentecostal Lighthouse Church, Warsaw, Indiana on Wednesday, February 17, 2010 at 11:00 am. Calling hours will be 2:00 - 8:00 pm at the funeral chapel and 1 hour prior to the service at the church. on Tuesday, February 16, 2010. Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery, Claypool, Indiana.
